This online continuing education program on the topic of the Bundled Payments for Care Improvement (BPCI) and BPCI Advanced Programs is an independent study course, worth 1.5 hours Continuing Medical Education (physicians & pharmacists) or 1.5 hours Continuing Education Units (Registered Nurses/LVN/LPN, Case Manager, Social Worker & Nursing Home Administrator).
The session reviews the origins of Bundled Payment programs with the passing of the Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act of 2010, why the programs were necessary, what the goals of more effective care coordination are and tactics on how to effectively manage a bundled payment program.
